Carlo Van Der Steen is Director Spacewell , responsible for the Nordics team deploying IoT-enabled IWMS software implementations in the region. His +20-year experience spans all areas of Facility management and Real Estate projects on tenant, landlord and supplier side. Carlo started his career at Siemens where he first established the re-organisation of the Real Estate organisation and afterwards was responsible for selecting and deploying the standard IWMS system on a global scale within the group. Next joining Spacewell he assumed responsibility for pan-European key accounts. After which he moved with his family to Sweden to start Spacewell Nordics.

How does the working place of tomorrow look like?
- The workplace of tomorrow will be focusing on the occupants of the building, using smart technologies to increase user experience, satisfaction, productivity and retention. Learning from the real usage of office space it becomes possible to predict needed actions and adapt servicing of the building or even anticipate and prevent dissatisfaction. As behavior changes the workplace concept can be adapted over time with cleaning and facility service adapting automatically activity based.

- In our solutions we always start from real-life use cases in the market and at our customers, so learning the needs and experiences from others is key to even further develop our products. And obviously we love to share the projects and results we achieved at SpaceWell to a broader audience.
